project
SA
Unions
as part
of the
"A Fair
Share of
the
Future"
Union
Agenda
has
recently
re-activated
and
localised
the ACTU
National
Indigenous
Workers
Survey
to
provide
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
workers
throughout
South
Australia
and some
areas of
the
Northern
Territory
the
opportunity
to voice
their
opinions
and
values
about
their
working
lives.

information
gathered
will
provide
a vital
snapshot
of what
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
workers
value
most
about
their
jobs,
what
they
would
like to
see
improved
and will
give
input
into
union
campaigns
to
improve
Indigenous
employment
conditions
and
outcomes.
The

The SA
Unions
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
Survey
was
originally
developed
by the
Australian
Council
of Trade
Unions
(ACTU)
in
consultation
with the
ACTU
Indigenous
Committee
to
provide
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
workers
the
opportunity
to voice
their
opinions
and
values
about
their
working
lives.
The
information
gathered
will
provide
SA
Unions
with a
vital
snapshot
of what
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
workers
in South
Australia
and the
Northern
Territory
value
most
about
their
jobs,
what
they
would
like to
see
improved
and will
give
input
into
union
campaigns
to
improve
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
employment
conditions
and
outcomes.
This South
Australian/NT
survey
was run
through
the SA
Unions
Aboriginal
Project
Officer,
John
Hartley.
The surveys
have
been designed
to
collect
information
for the
purposes
of the
development
of the
SA
Aboriginal
and
Torres
Strait
Islander
Network
and to
improve
the
wages
and
conditions
of
Indigenous
workers.

information

for the

survey
is
deemed
confidential
no
personal
information
that
identifies
persons
providing
information
will be
divulged
